Hi there folks-
I'm a member of the Main Squeeze Orchestra, an 18 piece all-female accordion orchestra in New York City.
Recently we did a live show, and I posted it on YouTube. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJSy3E0lAgM] YouTube then sent me a message saying we infringed upon "Chunkothy".
Now, we did do some Kurt Weill songs, as well as a bitchin' cover of Bohemian Rhapsody, but I'm pretty sure we didn't cover Chunkothy. So I disputed the claim, but YouTube says nope-- we infringed upon your copyright.
Now, we did have a tango player, JP Jofre. Also "The Last of the International Playboys", the awesome "Corn Mo" and one song by Ani Cordova. But those are all original tunes.
Would you guys mind letting me know at what point in the video we did something that might have resembled your work? I'm pretty sure none of the other performers did it but I could be mistaken. (oh, we also had a magician, but he didn't use music)
The reason I really want this posted is that it was a tribute to our recently departed bandleader, Walter Kuhr, who we really, really miss. His family is in Germany so they couldn't make the show (which was filled with great stories about Walter) and this is the only way they can see it.
Thanks!
