at the very end of Luke's set from The Blend on PBS, like in the last 2-3 minutes... a hardcore song w/ a spoken sample - "come on in here MothaF@ckas...come on I'm waiting for you...oh you ain't comin'? you think you're big time? you gonna f@ckin die big time, m*thaF@ckas, you ready? here comes the pain".
Anyone recognize that? If it's a movie I wana see it...

Hello all, well its this samples malarky that led me to this forum, I'd be particularly keen to trace the source of "HAHAHAHA, I'm so full of ideas, and here's a good one", which also features at the start of Stereolab's 'International Colouring Contest' (on Mars Audiaq Quintet) which probably isn't the original source.
Stereolab very rarely use samples and that one sticks out like a sore thumb.
Could be a coincidence but I'm sure Vibert is aware of MAQ
Also, the lyrics of the 'lab song go on to discuss the album "Into Outer Space with Lucia Pamela", a ridiculously kitsch thing which Pamela insists was recorded on the Moon, which also seems like the kind of thing Vibert would be drawn to, although I haven't spotted anything from it yet...
Happy nerdery x

Some older hip-hop samples which I know of from Studio Sessions and Throbbing Pouch are: The Roots - Mellow My Man Diggable Planet - Slicker this Year OC - Time's Up Eric B. and Rakim - Follow the Leader

The hooty sounds on "Night Owls" from Throbbing Pouch are from "Watermelon Man" on Herbie Hancock's 1973 Head Hunters album.
I'm not exactly sure, but the drums on "Mahadelic" on Phat Lab. Nightmare are possibly from a track on Moondog's second album from 1971.

Reviving this old thread.
I've been listening to a ton of the Amen Andrews stuff, and now all these old jungle samples are bugging me since I can't find anything about them:
Tons samples from "junglebunny"
- The very first opening sample that I can't understand a single word - "Well now sir, is a serious business" .. "Play it to them for the song" - "I now present to you, music to make you stutter" - "Know what I say mon, get mash up last night ... get mash up"
Looks like some of the other samples are from Babylon, so maybe that's where most of these other ones are from.
A few from amental: - "This is a serious music we are dealin' wit' here" - "Oh no!" - "Kick it" - "Let the bass kick" - "Here comes music, set your soul on fire" - "Sure as shot, (for/all) the biggest balls ya got"
The production on amental is amazing, and I've been getting these samples in my head for the past couple weeks.

So I've been scouring the internet trying to find the source of the following sample to no avail... Please help You'd be my hero. Does anyone know the vocal sample from Cut and Cut 97' remix where a woman goes: "Honey, i wondered if I could get up from the table and go ask the disc jockey to play some songs for me." man goes: "why, sure, darling!" woman goes: "ya know, I really feel good, and I ain't ready to leave."
