Sweet Jesus! This is such damn good news it deserves it's own thread as well as a post in the live dates page.. Luke Vibert is back doing Acid On Sea this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Acid on Sea MK IV Tentatively titled "THE DEDBEAT DISCO RAFT" August 10th 2007 The River Thames LUKE VIBERT CEEPHAX ACID KRU ... and more to come... www.myspace.com/acidonsea I don't know if anyone else on this board has been but i've been to last two years and it has literally been one of the highlights of the summer I missed the first years party when Vibert played but the 2nd & 3rd ones were incredible. The 2nd year (daytime cruise) I smoked this luduicrasely strong joint from someone and thought I was going to die as the boat did a u-turn in the thames under tower bridge, then we were thrown off and ended up going to that really wierd inflatable thing with trippy colours and sounds that was in the news last year because it flew away in the wind and ended up killing people.. Then we went on to two seperate after partys on a debaouched piratical rumbustification. Last year (night time cruise this time) I can't really explain, but it was one of the heaviest (and best) nights of last summer. Bring your friends, travel down from the north if you have to - this really is soooo good! Check out this Warp news article for pic's from the first year of Vibert, DMX Krew, Ceephax & Aphex Twin. www.warprecords.com/news/?offset=0&ti_id=971

hey jj, five days and counting! (god, i hope the weather cheers up...) re:QEH i wonder if luke is doing a dj set following squarepusher? you'd think they'd mention it somewhere tho' i've seen luke twice i think at the south bank and it is a bit strange sitting in an auditorium, applauding politely. although one time he played in the foyer after the main thing and that was cool cos people were up and dancing (and being a bit naughty ). i might call the QEH box office after i've woken up a bit... i'll let you know if i find out anything. xxx

Ok cheers...tbh I agree with you and don't really mind just seeing him at glade...only thing is, i have a feeling it will be a better set at the QEH because of the fact that it is a sit down thing; the music will be music for musics sake, I don't normally dance when I listen to Vibert, and when I've seen him do his bangface set it's ok, and indeed I can get down to it, but he never really plays any of his proper 'listening' tunes...
Best set I've seen of him is him supporting squarepusher at Koko, so if it's the same then actually I suppose it would be good to go, if you find anything out let me know!
